Who We Are

Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1973 by McMurray veterinarian Dr. James Carmichael. Today, our practice is still family owned and operated, and our staff includes a total of nine veterinarians. Our clinic is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, and the Peters Township Chamber of Commerce. We believe in the importance of building relationships with our patients and providing a great customer experience. We are also passionate about educating pet owners on how to keep their animal friends healthy and happy.

Services We Offer

We see all kinds of small pets at Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic. Types of animals we can treat include:

    • Hamsters, guinea pigs, and rats

    • Gerbils (sorry no hedgehogs or sugar gliders)

We offer general surgery such as spays, neuters, dental work for the small mammals. 

Our goal is to provide complete care for our patients at every stage of life. For healthy pets, we provide routine medical care such as annual wellness check-ups, vaccinations, spaying and neutering, and parasite prevention. We also provide advanced care for pets that need surgery or have chronic health conditions. If your pet has a medical emergency, our clinic provides urgent care services six days a week.
